Zweikommasieben is a Swiss magazine that's content documents contempary music and sounds. Despite this, the publication also combines illustration, graphic design and photography. Each issue of the magazine has a unique layout and style whilst the publication itself keeps within its own rules and guidelines whilst disregarding others. Body text is mostly legible but is often laid out in an ambiguous way. It is, however, still constrained to its own strict grid system.
Zweikommasieben is an example of how modern magazines can often disregard rules and guidelines but still function as legible copy. The type of design used is completely opposite to many minimalist and modernist magazines that dominate the the marketplace today and have similarities to the post modern magazines (such as Raygun) which looked to do the same in the late 20th Century.
